Custom Frames

If you are trying to decide whether or not to purchase a frame, it may be helpful to take a look at these images. I build handmade, finely crafted frames constructed with the utmost care and attention to detail. I have designed these frames with my illustrations in mind and are crafted accordingly. Frames are constructed with poplar wood, and the artist proof is dry-mounted and floats on 1/4 inch, acid-free foam core behind plexiglass. Originals, however, are matted within the frame instead of a floating dry-mount so the artwork retains additional archival integrity. The corners are reinforced with finely detailed splices, wood surfaces undergo two rounds of sanding, and are coated with a glaze. Frames come ready to hang and dimensions are roughly 4 inches larger on each side than listed illustration size (ie: a 22" x 14" illustration is about 28" x 18" framed).
