Prints
A giclee (zhee-clay) print is a high-quality, digital reproduction. These prints are created from a high-resolution scan, printed with a wide-format inkjet printer that uses pigment (not dye), on archival paper. Together, these criteria create a print that is made to last and looks almost identical to the original 2-D work. Prints are shipped rolled up in a mailing tube - please allow up to 3 weeks for shipment and up to 4-5 weeks for enlarged prints which I don’t keep in my inventory and need to custom order.

Description: I began the original piece on a two-day climb in the Twin Sisters range of Washington. At the end of day one, we bivvied on the summit of South Twin Sister , and I was able to squeeze in a quick painting session with the remaining daylight. Despite the voracious mosquitos, I got a good start on this piece and enjoyed the stunning sunset and view of the south side of Mt Baker. As always, there are some challenges with combing pleinair art and an overnight climbing trip. For example, carrying art supplies while also keeping the bulk and pack-weight low enough to move safely and efficiently through technical terrain; and getting to the bivvy site early enough and with enough energy to paint.
