Prints
A giclee (zhee-clay) print is a high-quality, digital reproduction. These prints are created from a high-resolution scan, printed with a wide-format inkjet printer that uses pigment (not dye), on archival paper. Together, these criteria create a print that is made to last and looks almost identical to the original 2-D work. Prints are shipped rolled up in a mailing tube - please allow up to 3 weeks for shipment and up to 4-5 weeks for enlarged prints which I don’t keep in my inventory and need to custom order.
Vulnerable In The Mountains #1 (Dragontail)
Vulnerable In The Mountains #1 (Dragontail)
Dimensions: 12.5” X 9”)
This is a print of Dragontail Peak in the Enchantment Mountains of Washington State. I live near these mountains in Leavenworth, WA where I work as a mountain guide. I spend a lot of my time exploring this area, climbing the world class alpine rock. This piece is part of a series (Vulnerable In The Mountains) which is about my exploration of the topic of vulnerability. Often, in the mountains (especially guiding) we are expected to be confident - if not stoic - when the reality is as people we are all still vulnerable. Creativity is a opportunity to explore my vulnerability which is something that I experience both in the front country and in the mountains.
