Description: I started this piece while guiding in the North Cascades on the North Ridge or Forbidden. I carried my art supplies with me for 3 days but didn’t have the time or energy to do any art the first night while bivying on the North Ridge. We carried up and over the summit of Forbidden, down-climbed the West Ridge in the rain (yikes!) and spent our second night in Boston Basin high camp. I also didn’t have energy or time to do any art that night - and at this point figured I had just “taken my art supplies for a walk.” However, I forced myself to wake up early on day 3 and squeeze in a quick painting session before hiking out. ***FYI - This piece was folded in half to fit in my backpack which means there’s a crease in the middle - I think this adds character with the evidence of it’s journey but figured you should know.
